A thesis exhibition by Allen Thomas Ball
Longleaf presents work from towns, defunct phosphate mines, and remote hunting camps within cultivated pine forests of North Central Florida using materials such as dirt, clay, charcoal, ash, and found objects.
The exhibit includes paintings, sculpture, video, and installations which are focused on non-agricultural human contact with the land to portray a panorama of human occupancy.
